What Are ReGen Games?
ReGen Games is not just a metaphor. It is a fully designed game system where your actions in the real world earn you recognition, tokens, and influence in our regenerative alliance.
Think of it like a role-playing game, but instead of fighting dragons, you are:
- Planting trees and restoring ecosystems
- Building community and strengthening connections
- Learning skills that serve regeneration
- Contributing capital in its many forms
- Governing together through participatory democracy
The Quest System
Quests are structured challenges that guide your journey through the ReGen Civics ecosystem. Each quest has clear objectives, rewards, and learning outcomes.
Starter Quests help newcomers understand the basics: - Create your player profile - Connect your Base blockchain account - Attend your first community call - Complete the Contribution Calculator
Season Quests align with our 13-week seasonal cycles: - Submit a land project application - Complete due diligence on a project - Participate in governance votes - Mentor a fellow player
Epic Quests represent major achievements: - Launch a Minimum Viable Economy - Bring a new alliance partner into the network - Complete a full seasonal journey
Earning Tokens Through Play
As you complete quests and contribute to the alliance, you earn two types of tokens:
RVoice Tokens represent your voice in governance. The more you participate, the more say you have in how ReGen Civics evolves.
RGen Tokens represent regenerative value creation. These flow to those who demonstrate measurable positive impact.
Why Games?
Why did we design ReGen Civics as a game? Because games are one of humanity's oldest technologies for:
- Learning complex systems through play
- Motivating sustained engagement over time
- Building community through shared experiences
- Celebrating achievements and milestones
- Making friends (many games are cooperative, getting outside, going on grand adventures)
